If you were tuned into the television last night theirs a good chance that you caught some of the presidential debate as election time is rolling around the corner, as this November we as americans will have the choice to elect are next president which is mainly between Barrack Obama and Mitt Romney as the chances that one of the independent candidates gets elected is very unlikely as it has never happened before, their has been years were Ralph Nadar has got a good amount of votes but nothing ever close to winning. Usually the votes that the independent party candidates gets just hurts, and takes away votes from the republican and democratic candidates. That is the main reseon why the debate is between the republican and democratic parties. If you were one of the millions of viewers that tuned into the debate you probably thought the same thing as me, and that was holy crap Romney is kicking some serious butt. It seemed like every question Obama asked Romney or criticized him about Romney did a flawless of answering it and turing it around on Obama, last night Romney was smooth and graceful as he answered every question with composure, as by the end of the debate he had Obama looking like a fool. Even the democratic reporters and TV stations said that Romney clearly walked away with the first debate, which many people think could swing the polls in the favor of Mitt Romney. On the other hand how hard is it for Romney to win a debate against a president who has done nothing write in his first term, as he has made many mistakes and hasn't followed through with many of his promises, while Romney has never been in the spotlight making bad decisions which doesn't give Obama much ammo against Romney. So my question too you is do you think it is easier for the new nominee to debate and in your opinion who do you feel won the first debate.
I didn't watch it live, but I caught bits and pieces on the web and television. It seems to be the opinion of many that Romney won the debate. If I had to choose, I would say that he did.
ReplyDeleteI think it is probably harder for a candidate to debate because they haven't been in that situation before, under that type of pressure. The one thing that Romney had going for him was that Obama had an off night. Obama is usually a great public speaker and a master of debate.
I think this debate has the Obama campaign shaking in there shoes a bit. It should make for a tight race in the final weeks before the election.
i find it really hard to watch these debates because it always seem like the tv station is a little biased towards one of the candidates. I understand that it helps the population choose who the best president will be but it also shadows them a little bit i feel like.
ReplyDeleteI was flipping between the debate and a baseball game, but I found myself watching the debate more than the baseball game. Usually politics don't intrigue me much, but I felt drawn to the debate. I think that is because this is the first year that I can vote. After watching the debate, I thought Romney was the winner of it. One thing I didn't like was how Romney seemed to interrupt the person who asked the questions. I didn't like that very much. I think it is harder for the candidate. The President has already been in Office for 4 years so he has had to talk in front of a big audience many times and also knows the pressure of being President, so the President shouldn't be to nervous or anything.
